01Information we collect

Breakgain is designed to minimise the personal information it collects.

You do not need to create an account to use the planner.

Information you enter into the planner may include:

• your selected country or jurisdiction
• planning year
• available leave days
• normal working days
• planning preferences and refinements
• dates you mark as unavailable, approved leave, blackout dates, or employer closures

Unless explicitly stated otherwise elsewhere in the product, this planning information is processed locally in your browser and is not stored by Breakgain on a server.

02Planning data

Breakgain's planner is designed around browser-local calculation.

Your generated leave plans, planning preferences, and related planner inputs remain within your browser unless you choose to export, copy, download, or share them.

Breakgain does not require access to your employer systems, calendar account, or workplace account to calculate a plan.

If you clear your browser storage or use a different browser or device, locally stored planning information may no longer be available.

03Analytics and technical data

Breakgain may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand how the service is used and improve the product.

This may include limited technical information such as:

• pages visited
• approximate device or browser type
• general interaction events
• referral source
• anonymous or aggregated usage statistics

Analytics are not required for Breakgain to work. If analytics are introduced, they should not record exact leave dates, approved leave, unavailable dates, blackout dates, employer closures, or personal constraints.

04Cookies and local storage

Breakgain may use browser storage to preserve planner settings, preferences, or other product state.

Browser storage is different from sending your full planning information to a Breakgain server.

If essential cookies or similar technologies are introduced later, this Privacy Policy should be updated accordingly.

05Third-party services

Breakgain may rely on third-party infrastructure or services necessary to operate the website, such as hosting, domain services, or analytics.

Where a third-party service processes information, its handling of that information may also be governed by its own privacy terms.

06Data retention

Planner information that remains solely in your browser is controlled through that browser's storage.

Breakgain does not intentionally retain browser-local planning data on its own servers.

Any limited technical or analytics data that may be collected should only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, analyse, and improve Breakgain.

07Your choices

You can:

• use Breakgain without creating an account
• clear browser-local planner data
• choose what information to include when sharing a plan
• avoid including exact leave dates when using supported privacy-sharing options

08Changes to this policy

Breakgain may update this Privacy Policy as the product develops.

When material changes are made, the updated version and revision date should be published on this page.
